Spring Cleaning General

Spring Cleaning Checklist Private Areas

Besides doing all the items on the general spring cleaning checklist, here are some details that are specific to the private areas of your home that I want to point out:

Bedroom:

Mattress
Remove all bedding and vacuum
flip and rotate

Bedding (pillows & comforters)
Wash according to labels

Closets/drawers
Organize (remove everything, purge unwanted items, put everything back neatly)
Switch out seasonal clothing

Laundry Room:

Washing Machine
Run cycle with a cup of white vinegar
Wipe all exterior surfaces
Clean around detergent/softener dispensers

Dryer
Wipe all exterior surfaces
Clean lint from dryer exhaust

Cleaning supplies
Organize and purge as needed

Vacuum cleaner/broom
Clean canister, filters, etc
Vacuum broom thoroughly

Bathroom:

Shower curtain liner
Clean/disinfect or replace

Drains
Storebought cleaner or ammonia diluted with water

Home Office:

Computer
Clean mouse, keyboard, and monitor
